Michael Mason
CEO / Director
B.Sc., MBA

Michael T. Mason is a seasoned mining executive with extensive experience worldwide in project due diligence, mine development, strategic planning, metals marketing, risk management and project financing as well as international trade and off-take agreements. He has worked on some of the world’s largest deposits including the Escondida Copper project in Chile, the Olympic Dam project in Australia, La Candelaria in Chile, and the San Cristobal Mine in Bolivia. Mike has also been associated with the commissioning, evaluation and management of large smelting operations across South America, India, Korea, Mexico, Canada and the U.S.

Michael T. Mason holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Arizona and a Master's Degree in Business Administration specializing in Finance, from the University of California at Los Angeles.

Throughout a career that has spanned 50 years, Mike has held numerous senior and executive management positions. He has served as a director of Euromax Resources Ltd; President and COO of Global Gold Corporation; President of MBMI Int’l; CEO, President & Director of Metals Concentrates International ; Managing Director, Senior Trader for Marc Rich and Co. (Glencore) as well as others

Gregory J. Kuzma

Mr Kuzma is a graduate of the University of Southern California, a well-respected and highly skilled exploration geologist with over 30 years’ experience. Mr Kuzma has consulted with numerous mining groups and spent 12 years as Senior Project Geologist in Nevada for Teck Resources. Mr. Kuzma has extensive experience in the Southwest U.S., Mexico, El Salvador and Argentina. He has evaluated, designed, managed and implemented over 40 drill programs within Nevada’s Great Basin.

William Hunter

William (Bill) Hunter is a seasoned financial executive with over 20 years of advisory and capital markets experience. Bill has been involved in over $20 billion of transactions throughout his career in the natural resources and industrial industries. Bill led the Americas Banking team at Nomura where he advised Mitsui in their acquisition of a minority interest in the Moatize Coal Mining complex from Vale and Globe Specialty Metals in their $3.1 billion merger of equals transaction with FerroAtlantica. Before Nomura he led the team at Jefferies and did numerous transactions for companies like Alpha Natural Resources, Fortescue Metals Group and Murray Energy.

Bill received his BSC from DePaul University and an MBA with distinction from the Kellstadt School of Business at DePaul University in Chicago.

Paul Pelosi, Jr.

Paul Francis Pelosi, Jr. is a speaker on environmental policies that encourage individuals and local governments to take a more active role in conserving natural resources and reducing carbon footprints. Pelosi has spoken at conferences in Stockholm, Milan, and Amsterdam. Pelosi is a contributor to the anthology Inside the Minds: Navigating Green Construction and Energy Initiatives, forthcoming from Aspatore Books in Spring 2009. Pelosi is a graduate of Georgetown University with a Bachelor of Arts in History (Cum Laude, 1991) and a JD/MBA (Joint Degree 1995) with an emphasis in International Business. In 1991, Pelosi was a Gillette All Star Athlete in Track and he received the Georgetown International Human Rights Award in 1994. Paul Pelosi has 16 years’ experience in advising emerging and Fortune 500 companies in the areas of finance, infrastructure, sustainability and public policy. Pelosi is a founding member of Cisco Connected Urban Development and under the direction of Cisco CEO John Chambers, Pelosi worked with San Francisco, Birmingham, Amsterdam, Hamburg, Lisbon, Madrid and Seoul to attempt to demonstrate how network connectivity might reduce carbon emissions in urban environments.

In 2003, Pelosi was appointed by San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown to the city’s Commission on the Environment. The commission is responsible for developing policies and programs in recycling, toxics reduction, environmental justice, energy efficiency, commute alternatives, climate change, and the city’s urban forest. Pelosi served as President of the Commission. During his tenure, San Francisco implemented energy efficiency programs that resulted in a reduction of 28 megawatts of electricity, created programs that increased residential and commercial recycling from 46% to 70%, as well reduced San Francisco’s carbon emissions to 6% below 1990 levels, and became the first municipality to implement a ban on plastic bags. Currently, Pelosi serves as Senior Vice President of Business Development at InfoUSA where he is responsible for identifying acquisitions and organizing programs to develop effective strategy for reducing waste and promoting greener practices in the market research industry. Pelosi also advises companies including NASA Ames Research Center and AirPatrol Corporation on a variety of infrastructure projects to promote both sustainable development and security. Prior to independent consulting, Pelosi served many years with Bank of America Securities, Bank of America Countrywide and JP Morgan – Chase Manhattan where he worked in Corporate Finance, Institutional Sales, and the Residential Mortgage Industry. Pelosi has been a member of the California State Bar since 1996.

Alan D. Gaines

ALAN D. GAINES formed ALG Corp. (and a predecessor company, Direct Crude, LLC in 2011) in September 2014, and presently serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO. ALG Corp. is an advisory for the energy (predominantly upstream) and media industries, specializing in recapitalization and restructuring. .

Mr. Gaines served as Chairman of the Board of Directors and founder of Dune Energy, Inc. from its formation in May 2001 through April 2010. Mr. Gaines also served as CEO of Dune Energy from inception through May 2007, when he stepped down, taking a less active role, following the acquisition of Goldking Energy Corporation, raising total proceeds of $540 million. .

Mr. Gaines has more than 30 years experience as an energy investment banker and advisor, having participated in the raising of debt and equity totaling well over $100 billion. .

In 1983, he co-founded Gaines, Berland Inc., a full service investment bank/advisory and brokerage, specializing in global energy markets, with particular emphasis given to small to mid capitalization public and private upstream companies. Mr. Gaines sold his interest in Gaines, Berland Inc. in 1998. .

From 1984 through 1998, Mr. Gaines was Chief Advisor and investment banker to financier Carl C. Icahn in all of Mr. Icahn's investments within the energy space, including such highly publicized forays as Gulf Oil, Texaco, Pennzoil, Phillips Petroleum, Williams Cos., Unocal, USX (Marathon Oil), Tenneco, Western Company. He has been quoted globally in numerous newspapers/magazines, industry periodicals and media outlets, such as The Wall Street Journal, Barron's, The New York Times, Forbes, Business Week, Financial Times (London), Platt’s, CNN, CNBC, etc. .

Mr. Gaines holds a BBA in Finance from Baruch College (CUNY), and an MBA in Finance ("With Distinction"-Valedictorian) from The Zarb School, Hofstra University Graduate School of Management. .

Mr. Gaines was born in Brooklyn, New York, and currently resides in Hollywood Hills, California.

Craig Alford
Director

Mr. Alford holds both a Bachelor of Science (Hons) and a Master of Science in Geology. He is a registered Professional Geoscientist (P.Geo) in Ontario and is a Qualified Person, as defined in National Instrument 43-101.

During his 30 years of experience worldwide, Mr. Alford has designed, managed and provided technical direction for projects throughout North and South America, China, Central Asia, Russia, Australia and Africa. Mr. Alford’s experience has included senior positions for a number of large mining companies including, Zijin Mining Group (Shanghai Stock Exchange: 601899), China Railway (Shanghai Stock Exchange: 601186), and Teck Mining Ltd (NYSE:TCK).

During Mr. Alford’s tenure with the Zijin Mining Group he was part of the team that was responsible for an approximate $80 million investment in Pretium Resources Inc., (NYSE: PVG). Pretium now has production targeted for its Northern BC, Canada site in 2017. The other major investments Mr. Alford was involved with at Zijin was the $298 million investment into Barrick Gold (NYSE: ABX) Porgera mine and the $412 million investment into Ivanhoe Mines Ltds’(TSX: IVN) Kamoa Copper Project. The Kamoa project is expected to be one of the biggest copper mines in the world.

Mr. Alford has negotiated with several Head’s of State, as well as assisting the World Bank and the China-Africa Development Fund in tax policy, planning and investment risk.

Doug Cole

Doug Cole brings over 39 years experience in Sales, Marketing, and Leadership roles having run over 7 Companies Public and Private. He has focused all of his time on Global Development of Start up companies and turnarounds. He has been involved with raising millions of dollars for his companies and other related. As a Private and Public Chairman, CEO and board member, he has in the last 39 years expanded every company he has been involved with. Leveraging relationships globally. He has spoken at many Major Industry Conferences throughout his career. In 2000 He and his family spent six years working for the University of California, Berkeley Camp located in the High Sierras of California.
The Oldest and Largest Alumni Organization in the US with over 500,000 members, working in many different disciplines.

He is an exceptional leader, played 26 years of competitive rugby while developing global partnerships with major companies like, Hewlett Packard, IBM, Epson, Toshiba to name a few. He has set up world wide distribution for both software and hardware companies, focusing sales, licensing & contract negotiation; always in fast-paced, dynamic environments.

Doug started his career in the technology sector selling peripherals world wide to the fortune 500 for DJC, The largest US integrator during the late 70’s and early 80’s. That company was bought in 1983. He then went on to form Insight Development which was the leading software utility company focusing on network printing in the early 80’s. In 1992 Doug started Great Bear Technology in the USA focusing on the healthcare, education and gaming content market. He went on to establish an 100 person engineering firm in Sofia, Bulgaria being the first US company to actually own and empower great talent outside the US. The company produced over 35 titles in 3 years including Healthsoft, Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy to name a few including a product with Bob Marley. The lives of the developers in Bulgaria were changed forever. Great Bear was sold in 1995 to Grpahix Zone, in 1995, Doug was named one of New Enterprise Associates President’s of the year. From 1995 until now, Doug has been CEO of a number of Public Companies as a turn around expert before becoming a Partner in Objective Equity, a US FINRA Regulated Investment Bank. He has been on the boards of US and Global focused companies ever since.

Doug lives in the San Francisco Bay Area, has been married for 37 years, has three children and loves to Hike, Ski and spend time with people.
